I started project RED LIST in November 2019 and have finally completed painting the last of the 67 birds. It has been a joy designing the prints and painting the birds and I feel quite bereft that it is finished….but is it, I have only completed one copy of each of the 67 birds and each is an edition of 5, so, as they move off the gallery walls I can produce more..

It is a fact of life that we are all expendable, we all have a shelf life, flavour of the month one minute out of favour the next. Did Mr Cummings see this coming, you betcha…disrupters always have an exit strategy, the cardboard box had been sitting on the end of the Cummings desk for weeks. And the exit, through the front door, at prime time, no sneaking out through the rose garden…..Mr Cummings will be back, of that I am certain, but for now he’s booked a spa break at the MacLeod House & Lodge, Trump Aberdeen….
The exhibition Days Like These, featuring a selection of prints from The Red List is going to Deda, Derby Dance Centre – although COVID19 may initially disturb plans to open the exhibition. However it is slated to run to January 31st 2021. Please check here for details as they are posted.
